Well, the response to my first challenge wasn't great, but I'm leaving it up anyway. If you're still interested in writing one of those, feel free to send it to me anytime.
Challenge Number Two is fairly simple. Take one of the following opening lines, and continue on. Your story can be any length, any subject. (See Rules at the bottom of the page.)
Here are your choices:
1. It wasn't a big house, or a fancy one, but it was comfortable in its own way.
2. The minute he saw the man in the black coat, he knew it was going to be a bad day.
3. I've never told this story before; never had a reason to, I guess, but now that you're here, I might as well tell you.
4. Nancy Green lived on my street for eight years before I even noticed she was alive.
That should be enough to get you started. There's no deadline; submissions are welcome anytime. Please e-mail them to EileenK98@yahoo.com and put "Challenge fic" in the subject line. Be sure and put your name in the header so I know who to credit.
As soon as I get something to put up, I'll make a special "Guest Fiction" page.

Challenge #1--Misheard Bee Gees Lyrics
There's still time to use one of these challenge ideas. The deadline has been suspended to give everyone time to write.
I'm looking for your take on one of the following (misheard by me) lyrics:
1. "I got hair in my mind, I get hired in Milwaukee" (Night Fever)
2. "Got some week-old papers on my shoes" (Stayin' Alive)
3. "Floor-level woman" (More Than a Woman)
The lyric must be referenced either in the title or the body of the fic. Further rules are below.
(By the way, if anyone knows the real translation of #1, would you please tell me? It's driving me nuts!)
Submission Rules
Original and fan fiction will be accepted. (If fan fiction, please state the fandom it comes from.)
Any length is okay. If it's too long--20+ chapters, for example--I'll provide a link to it.
I will accept R and NC-17 fics with the proper warnings.
Please spell-check and grammar-check all entries.
